 Installing Your UK eSIM

Your UK eSIM – Quick & Easy Setup

Your UK eSIM is your main CyberTel connection — it gives you your UK number, unlimited calls and texts, and access to EE’s 5G network.

You’ll receive your eSIM instantly by email once your order is complete.

All you need is your QR code and a few minutes to set it up.

💡 Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • An unlocked eSIM-compatible phone

  • A WiFi connection (needed to download the eSIM)

  • Your CyberTel eSIM QR code (emailed to you after checkout)

  • Your device passcode (for installation confirmation)

If you can’t find your email, log in to your CyberTel Account → My eSIMs to download it again.

📱 iPhone Setup (iOS 16 or later)

  1. Open your CyberTel eSIM email.

  1. On your iPhone, go to Settings → Mobile Data → Add eSIM.

  1. Choose Use QR Code.

  1. Scan the QR code from your CyberTel email.

  1. Tap Add Mobile Plan when prompted.

  1. Label your eSIM (we recommend naming it “CyberTel UK”).

  1. Choose your default SIM for calls and data (you can change later).

💬 Once added, your UK number will appear under Settings → Phone → My Number.

📱 Android Setup (Samsung, Google, and others)

  1. Open Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs.

  1. Tap Add eSIM or Download a SIM instead.

  1. Choose Use QR Code.

  1. Scan your QR code from your CyberTel email.

  1. Confirm and follow the on-screen prompts.

💡 Your CyberTel eSIM will activate automatically within a few minutes.

🧾 Activation Confirmation

Once installed:

  • Your CyberTel UK number will appear in your SIM settings.

  • You’ll receive a confirmation SMS from CyberTel.

  • You can now make and receive calls, send texts, and use your UK data.

If your number doesn’t show immediately, don’t worry — it can take up to 7 days for it to update in your phone settings after porting.

You can still make and receive calls as normal.

📞 If You Ported Your Number

If you transferred your number from another provider (PAC code), it will usually complete within 24 hours (Mon–Fri).

After the transfer:

  1. Go to Settings → Phone → My Number (iPhone)

or Settings → About Phone → SIM Info (Android).

  1. Check that your new CyberTel number appears.

  1. If your old number still shows, restart your phone.

  1. In iMessage or FaceTime, go to Settings → Messages → Send & Receive, and ensure your new number is selected.

💬 Sometimes it takes up to 7 days for Apple to update iMessage and FaceTime automatically. If not, contact us and we can refresh it sooner.

🔄 Removing an Old SIM

If you’ve switched from a physical SIM:

  1. Go to Settings → Mobile Data.

  1. Tap your old SIM and choose Remove Mobile Plan.

  1. Restart your phone.

  1. Confirm your new CyberTel number shows in settings.

This ensures your device uses your CyberTel UK eSIM for all calls, texts, and iMessage/FaceTime services.

🌍 Need Global Access Too?

If your plan includes a Global eSIM, you can add it now.

🧠 FAQs

Q: What if my QR code doesn’t scan?

A: Make sure your screen brightness is high or print the QR code. If it still fails, we can instantly reissue one.

Q: Can I install the eSIM on more than one phone?

A: No — eSIMs are one-time-use per device. Contact support if you need to move it to a new phone.

Q: Do I need to keep the QR code?

A: Yes — keep it safe until activation completes. You can always request a new one if lost.

Q: Will my CyberTel eSIM work abroad?

A: Yes — depending on your plan, you’ll have roaming access in Zones 1–4 by default.
