🔓 Activating Your Plan

Welcome to CyberTel — Let’s Get You Connected

Once your SIM or eSIM has arrived, you’re just a few steps away from being fully connected.

Activation only takes a few minutes, and you can do it from any compatible smartphone or tablet.

📱 Activating a Physical SIM

  1. Insert your SIM card into your phone.

  2. Turn your device off and back on.

  3. Wait a few minutes while your phone connects to the EE network.

  4. You’re all set — your plan is now active.

💡 If you transferred your number (PAC code), this may take up to 24 hours to complete. Please note PAC transfer does not take place on a weekend.

🌐 Activating an eSIM (Digital SIM)

  1. Open the QR code email you received from CyberTel.

  2. On your phone, go to:

    • iPhone: Settings → Mobile Data → Add eSIM / Mobile Plan

    • Android: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs / Add eSIM

  3. Scan the QR code shown in your email.

  4. Wait for your phone to download and activate the eSIM profile.

  5. Scan your UK eSIM QR code and follow the prompts to activate it.

  6. Label your lines:

    • Label your old number as "Current Provider" (e.g., Vodafone).

    • Label your new number as "CyberTel UK."

  7. Choose your default lines:

    • Default Voice Line: "Current Provider"

    • Default iMessage/FaceTime: "Current Provider"

  8. Choose your data line:

    • Select "Current Provider" and toggle on "Allow Data Switching."

  9. Go to your CyberTel UK SIM settings and turn on "Data Roaming."

  10. You might get some texts after the setup process this is normal to finish the process of activating your eSIM.

  11. Restart your phone to finalise setup.

You’re now connected! Your CyberTel plan is live and ready to use.

💡 Pro Tip

If you’ve selected a dual-SIM plan (like Globetrotter, Aero, or Forces), you’ll have both:

  • A UK SIM/eSIM for calls and texts

  • A Global eSIM for roaming and data abroad

You can switch between them in your device settings anytime.

⚠️ Troubleshooting Activation Issues

If your SIM or eSIM doesn’t activate right away, try these quick fixes:

  • Turn Airplane Mode on, wait 10 seconds, then turn it off again.

  • Ensure your phone’s software is up to date.

  • Check that Mobile Data and Roaming are enabled.

  • Restart your device.
