Keep Your Current Mobile Number

Switching to CyberTel doesn’t mean starting over — you can keep your existing UK mobile number easily using a PAC code (Porting Authorisation Code).

The process is simple, free, and usually completed within 24 hours.

📲 What You’ll Need

  • Your current UK mobile number

  • Your PAC code from your old provider (valid for 30 days)

  • Your CyberTel SIM or eSIM activated and ready

📩 How to Get Your PAC Code

It only takes a text message:

  • From your old SIM, text PAC to 65075.

  • You’ll receive a 9-character code (e.g. “ABC123456”)

Keep that code handy — you’ll enter it in your CyberTel Account next.

🧭 How to Transfer Your Number to CyberTel

  1. Contact the team

  2. Provide them with your PAC and your current number

  3. They will start the process.

That’s it! 🎉

We’ll move your number across, usually within 24 hours (Mon–Fri).

📅 When the Transfer Happens

  • Your old SIM will stop working once the transfer completes.

  • You may temporarily lose service for 1–2 hours during the switch.

  • We’ll text you once your number has been successfully moved to CyberTel.

If you submit your request after 5pm or over the weekend, it’ll be processed the next working day.

📱 Important: Updating Your iPhone After Porting

If you’re using an iPhone, your number might not update automatically in iMessage or FaceTime after your number ports over.

Here’s what to do once your number transfer is complete:=

  1. Remove your old SIM or eSIM from the phone (if you had one).

  2. Go to Settings → Messages → Send & Receive.

  3. Tap your Turn iMessage OFF.

  4. Restart your iPhone.

  5. Go back to Settings → Messages → Turn iMessage ON.

  6. Do the same for Settings → FaceTime → Turn FaceTime ON.

  7. Wait a few minutes — your new CyberTel number will appear under “You can be reached by iMessage at:”.

💡 Note:

Even after your number has successfully ported, it may take up to 7 days for it to appear correctly under Settings → Phone → My Number.

This is a normal Apple caching issue — your service will still work fine.

If you’d like us to speed up the process, contact our support team — we can often trigger a network refresh or reset to make your new number display sooner.

👥 Update Your Contacts

Once your new CyberTel number is active, we recommend:

  • Deleting any duplicate contact entries for your old number.

  • Sharing your new number with key contacts (it may take a short while to update in group chats).

  • Restarting WhatsApp or any apps that use your number for verification.

⚠️ Common Issues

  • PAC code expired or invalid → Request a new one by texting “PAC” again to 65075.

  • Number didn’t transfer after 24 hours → Contact us — we can check the porting status.

  • “No Service” after switching → Restart your phone and reinsert your CyberTel SIM or eSIM.
