Transferring Your Number to CyberTel

Keep Your Existing Number When You Switch to CyberTel

Written by Ciara Bellisio

Switching to CyberTel is simple — and you can keep your existing mobile number. All you need is your PAC code from your old provider. Once you've shared it with us, we'll handle everything — usually completing the transfer within 24 hours Monday to Friday.

What You'll Need

  • ✅ Your PAC code from your current network

  • ✅ Your CyberTel SIM or eSIM already active

  • ✅ Your account email address or order number

💬 PAC codes are valid for 30 days — use it soon after requesting.

How to Transfer Your Number

  1. Text PAC to 65075 from your current phone — it's free

  2. You'll receive a 9-character PAC code by text (e.g. ABC123456)

  3. Share your PAC code and current number with our team via live chat, WhatsApp, or email

  4. Let us know your preferred transfer date — usually the next working day

  5. We'll handle everything with your old provider from there

Once submitted:

  • We'll manage the transfer with your old provider

  • Your old SIM will stop working when the transfer completes

  • Your CyberTel SIM or eSIM will automatically take over your number

  • You'll receive an SMS confirming the transfer is complete

After Transfer — What to Expect

Once your number has ported:

  • Calls and texts should work immediately

  • Mobile data may take up to 30 minutes to reconnect

  • If you had voicemail set up with your old provider it will reset

  • Your old SIM will lose signal permanently — this is normal

💡 If you lose signal during the transfer, don't worry — it usually takes between 15 and 60 minutes to fully complete.

Updating Your Number on iPhone (iMessage & FaceTime)

If you're on an iPhone, your phone may still show your old number in settings even after your CyberTel number has transferred. To fix it manually:

  1. Go to Settings → Phone → My Number and check your CyberTel number appears

  2. Go to Settings → Messages → Send & Receive and make sure your new number is selected

  3. Go to Settings → FaceTime and ensure your new number appears

  4. Restart your phone

💬 It can take up to 7 days for Apple's systems to automatically refresh your number in iMessage and FaceTime. Contact us if it hasn't refreshed after 48 hours and we can usually speed it up.

If You Switched from a Physical SIM

If your old SIM was physical and you've moved to a CyberTel eSIM:

  1. Go to Settings → Mobile Data

  2. Select your old SIM profile

  3. Tap Remove Mobile Plan

  4. Restart your phone

This prevents your old number from reappearing or conflicting with your new CyberTel profile.
