Switching to CyberTel is simple — and you can keep your existing mobile number.

You just need your PAC code (Porting Authorisation Code) from your old provider.

Once you’ve submitted it, we’ll transfer your number automatically — usually within 24 hours (Monday to Friday).

💡 What You’ll Need

Before starting, make sure you have:

  • Your PAC code from your current network

  • Your CyberTel SIM or eSIM already active

  • Your account email address or order number

💬 PAC codes are valid for 30 days, so it’s best to use it soon after requesting.

📱 Step-by-Step: How to Transfer Your Number

  1. Text PAC to 65075 from your current phone/SIM (free of charge).

You’ll receive a text back with your 9-character PAC code (e.g. ABC123456).

  1. Log in to your CyberTel Account.

  1. Go to My Number → Transfer Number (PAC).

  1. Enter your PAC code and your current number.

  1. Select your preferred transfer date (usually next working day).

  1. Click Submit Transfer Request.

Once submitted:

  • We’ll handle everything with your old provider.

  • Your old SIM will stop working when the transfer completes.

  • Your CyberTel SIM or eSIM will automatically take over your number.

📞 After Transfer – What to Expect

Once your number has ported:

  • Calls and texts should work immediately.

  • Mobile data may take up to 30 minutes to reconnect.

  • If you had voicemail set up with your old provider, it will reset.

  • Your old SIM will lose signal permanently — that’s normal.

💡 If you lose signal during transfer, don’t panic — it usually takes around 15–60 minutes to fully complete.

📲 Updating Your Number on iPhone (iMessage & FaceTime)

If you’re using an iPhone, your phone may still show your old number under settings even though your CyberTel number has transferred.

To fix it manually:

  1. Go to Settings → Phone → My Number

  • Tap and edit it to show your correct CyberTel number.

  1. Go to Settings → Messages → Send & Receive

  • Make sure your new number is selected.

  1. Go to Settings → FaceTime

  • Ensure your new number appears here too.

  1. Restart your phone.

💬 It can take up to 7 days for Apple’s systems to automatically refresh your number in iMessage and FaceTime. We can usually make it update sooner — just contact us if it hasn’t refreshed after 48 hours.

📱 Updating Contacts

Once your number has ported:

  1. Open your Contacts app.

  1. Tap My Card or your own name.

  1. Update your phone number to your new CyberTel number.

  1. Restart your phone.

This ensures your correct number appears in Messages, WhatsApp, and other apps.

🔄 If You Switched from a Physical SIM

If your old SIM was physical and you’ve moved to an eSIM:

  1. Go to Settings → Mobile Data

  1. Select your old SIM profile

  1. Tap Remove Mobile Plan

  1. Restart your phone

💡 This prevents your old number from reappearing or conflicting with your new CyberTel profile.
